Don’t know about you, but I can’t believe that it will be 2026 in less than a week. Not sure if it’s because I’m getting older — marching headlong toward my 50th birthday in 2026 — or because I’m a dad now, but time is flying. Bye, 2025. 🫡
That said, I hope you’re getting the chance to slow things down and enjoy the holiday break with those closest to you. Hopefully you had a Merry Christmas. As someone who is not a Christian, I do love the holiday, and I think that this year, Christmas is more important than ever.
In case you missed it in all of the excitement of the big day, a couple of days before Christmas Eve, I chatted with author and president of CrossExamined.org Frank Turek about the core message of Christianity and the meaning of Christmas — as well as how the birth of Jesus is central to the Christian worldview. What a wild conversation. Adam is a truly singular voice and has been one of the most pointed and vocal critics of Gavin Newsom. Among other things, we discussed Newsom’s ball-crushing way of sitting and how that’s caught on with the particularly far left men in the Democrat Party — except for one extreme leftist, who actually sits like a man, as Adam pointed out. 😂 Plus, Clyde was on set, and he and Adam really hit it off. Great conversation.

While I was in Washington, D.C., to attend the White House Hanukkah party last week, I sat down with as many U.S. lawmakers as I could in the little more than 24 hours that I was there.
I went all the way to D.C. just to catch up with a fellow Floridian — the great Florida woman Anna Paulina Luna, who represents a district on the Gulf Coast in Congress. It was a bit of a quickie compared with some of the other conversations I had, and we mainly discussed the proposed law she’s championing that is making some Democrats AND Republicans in Congress furious, even though it’s overwhelmingly supported by the American public.
I also talked with Marsha Blackburn, U.S. Senator from Tennessee, and U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio. Check out that trifecta of interviews below.
Rubio had the best year of anyone in the Trump admin, according to Rubin Recap readers
Wow. Marco Rubio ends the year as the top-performing member of the Trump administration in 2025. And it wasn’t even close. Gotta wonder what implications that might have for 2028.
