Trump snubbed for Nobel Peace Prize ... ya know, after brokering historic Middle East peace deal
The Nobel Peace Prize has turned into the New York Times Bestseller list. Totally fake. On Friday morning, they awarded the 2025 Nobel Peace Prize to Venezuelan opposition leader MarĆa Corina Machado and passed over President Trump, who this week brokered an unprecedented peace deal that is hopefully bringing an end to the two-year war in Gaza.
Not to take anything away from Machado ā who lives in danger in a spiraling country and has advanced peace efforts there, she seems like a nice and brave lady -- but the Nobel committee proved the prize is totally politicized and fabricated by snubbing Trump.
Sure, the nominations for the 2025 prize were technically due by the beginning of February -- but at least one U.S. congresswoman nominated Trump last December for his work on the Abraham Accords, and multiple world leaders, including Netanyahu, have nominated him this year for his role in working to end the war in Gaza. The Nobel Committee could've easily responded to historic world events and awarded this year's prize to Trump.
But no. And the chair of the committee, responding to a reporter's question, all but admitted -- on camera -- that they didn't award Trump the prize for political reasons. He suggested Trump lacks "courage and integrity." Watch the clip.
That's right, the same guy who got shot in the head last year ⦠the same guy who's negotiated the end to multiple wars around the world ⦠the same guy who's trying to end the war between Russia and Ukraine ⦠and the same guy who got a ceasefire in Gaza and is laying the groundwork for lasting peace in what is the world's most volatile region ⦠lacks ācourage and integrity.ā
The only thing sillier would've been Biden winning the award, which, on some level, I'm surprised didn't happen. Meanwhile, Biden doesnāt even know how to spell ceasefire ā even when heās using an autopen.
I donāt know ā maybe if the Nobel committee paid attention to anything but leftwing media for news, they mightāve been briefed on Trumpās peacekeeping record. Our sponsor today, Ground News, could help with that ā and I think they would even qualify for the 40% off deal.
Trump obviously deserves this year's prize. I mean, the woman who won actually dedicated it to Trump in a post on X. That's saying something. And see below -- you have a chance to say something about Trump as I'm putting a twist in this week's power rankings poll.
Trump is a master negotiator who believes in peace through strength and, unlike the autopen president, dealt with Hamas effectively.
Itās hopefully the beginning of a new dawn for the Middle East. And Gazans, Iām sorry to report, youāre just going to have to get over some aspects of the peace agreement ā for instance, going forward, you're NOT going to be able to kill all the Jews. Deal.

Here are a couple of other things that made news this week that I want to make sure you see ā¦
First, I got my 1.21 gigawatts of power and fired up my time machine to go back to 1993 to watch a clip of a man who decades later would become president. This clip shows then-Senator Joe Biden talking about crime, and expressing what at the time was the moderate Democrat position about crime. Juxtapose that with everything you hear from Chicago's mayor and the governor of Illinois as they fight Trump about sending in the National Guard to deal with crime in Chicago. And now we've got Seattle's mayor making excuses for people committing crimes and elected leaders apparently just fine with all the murders, and people praising Luigi Mangione and Charlie Kirkās killer. Make it make sense.
Then there's Kamala Harris, who's on her book tour. You remember her -- Biden's VP, the woman Democrats put up as a presidential candidate after the quiet coup to remove Biden from the ticket. After all that, she's out there slamming Trump and making it seem like she almost won the election. This week, she called the Trump administration a bunch of crazy "mothafuckas" and everyone went wild, because she did it in a dramatic voice after she probably consumed numerous cocktails. Then, she repeated the lie that the 2024 election was the closest presidential election of the 21st century. This is who the Democrats wanted to be your president -- who they thought could handle tough negotiations with people like Hamas. 𤣠𤣠š¤£
OK, and last item before we get to the Sit-Down Interview of the Week. When I saw this I thought it was a literal joke. Actually thought it was parody or something. And it is a joke, but the people doing it didn't mean for it to be a joke. They totally think it's real and you have to see it to believe it. It's video of an older white woman being put into shackles and being forced to explain herself to a black man. You cannot make this stuff up. Watch the clip. Even crazier, Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson insists that there are a bunch of Americans who want a rematch of the Civil War. Go to the videotape, people. The man's city has more unsolved murders than True Detective. Maybe the rematch is already happening in his backyard. But it's no wonder white ladies are allowing themselves to be shackled when they're being bombarded with all this insane messaging.
And now, for the Sit-Down Interview of the Week ā¦
SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK: Former police officer and co-founder of BLEXIT, Brandon Tatum
Brandon joined me this week to talk about all the crazy conspiracy theories swirling about Charlie Kirkās assassination, whatās really motivating Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, and the collapse of policing in other blue cities like Portland and San Francisco. Fascinating discussion!
Hegseth wins Top Trump Peeps poll for first time

The secretary of war ended the VPās two-week winning streak in the power rankings ā barely. Hegseth edged Vance by just a couple of votes. As many of you mentioned in the comments, his effort to return the military to higher standards resonated deeply. And, in case you didnāt see this one, Pete also can give a hell of a post-game speech as he did here to the Navy football team after their win over Air Force last week. Hereās a clip of it.
As for this weekās power rankings, Iām changing things up and putting Trump himself in the poll. Itās my newsletter and Iāll do what I want with it. And Trump was the driving force behind the Middle East peace deal. The guy canāt win a Nobel Peace Prize, but maybe he can win The Rubin Reportās Top Trump Peeps poll. ⢠Yes, Iām keeping the beard, people! Itās a question I get more than youād think. A viewer named Nimbus asked this week in the community Q&A: āDo you plan on shaving the beard after Pete Hegsethās announcement?ā Nimbus was referring to Hegsethās remarks to military members that he expects them to be clean-shaven. As I keep saying, I am more beard than man at this point. So, the beard is staying. Plus, I just look better with the beard. If you need a reminder of what I looked like without the beard, see here. On second thought, maybe donāt click on that link š
