💬 Gavin Newsom's ball-busting caught on camera, and Dems cry about dead narco terrorists

The Rubin Recap, Issue 38 ...

In partnership with

Gavin Newsom takes ball-busting to a whole new level, and Dems 😢 for those poor narco terrorists getting blown up trying to bring fentanyl into the U.S.

What a week it was on The Rubin Report. We had powerful fumes wafting into the studio on Monday and Tuesday, and managed to survive. Then, there was the actual news, which was even more noxious than the fumes. But we're professionals here, and we dealt with the news accordingly.

If you missed any of the show this week, we covered a lot of ground, but there are two main topics I want to make sure you didn’t miss. First is California Gov. Gavin Newsom, who showed up at a live conference held by The New York Times.

You know Newsom has a long record of ball-busting — Covid, taxes, overregulation, etc. — but he took ball-busting to an extraordinary new level at this conference. I want you to look closely at how Newsom was sitting during this event.

How does an adult male sit like that without destroying his testicles? Seriously. This offers insight into my longtime theory that Newsom is not an actual human and is an evil lizard man. As it happens, male lizards do not have testicles like male humans, which have them hanging outside the body proper. Lizards have testes that are internal, but no balls. The most compelling evidence yet that Newsom is a lizard man.

Now, you may be saying, “Dave, why am I getting an anatomy lesson here?” Because perhaps you saw the clip of Newsom at the conference, but were distracted by the way he was sitting and didn’t hear the words coming out of his mouth. So, now I want to draw your attention to that.

Newsom again, in front of cameras and a live audience, floated the absolute lie that America will no longer have fair elections. “I believe this from the core of my heart. You will not have a free and fair election as we know them today,” he said of the midterms and the next presidential election in 2028. And then he went on to brag about his so-called accomplishments as governor — conveniently leaving out that his own mother-in-law and father-in-law fled California for Florida over his failing policies.

You know who else has fled California under his watch? 11 Fortune 500 companies have left the state since COVID. California ranks 37th out of 50th in state public education. Meanwhile, he's fear-mongering about elections while he's gerrymandering the high hell out of his state, which is already a Democrat supermajority.

Newsom thought he was giving a Ted Talk at the New York Times event — I heard he even had a title for it: Democracy in Peril (and So Are My Balls). 🤣

December is here — a month filled with celebration, reflection, and (let’s be honest) a fair bit of stress. Amid the busyness, find grounding with Pique’s Sun Goddess Matcha — a luxurious, science-backed way to support calm energy, focus, and radiant health from within.

Even with a clean diet and regular movement, I used to struggle with afternoon crashes, overwhelmed nerves, and dull skin. Adding Pique’s Sun Goddess Matcha to my daily ritual has been genuinely transformative. Sourced from pristine Japanese tea gardens and crafted to the highest purity standards, it delivers L-theanine, chlorophyll, and EGCG antioxidants — nature’s ultimate trio for calm focus, glowing skin, and sustained, jitter-free energy.

Within weeks, I felt clearer, calmer, and more vibrant. It’s not hype — it’s the unmatched purity and potency of Pique’s matcha that makes the difference.

This holiday season, Pique — a luxury wellness brand powered by rare plants and cutting-edge science — invites you to share the gift of calm, clarity, and vitality. Whether you’re treating someone you love or elevating your own daily ritual, Sun Goddess Matcha brings wellness into the most magical (and demanding) month of the year.

Give yourself — or someone special — the gift of inner balance. Start the new year feeling lighter, clearer, and more energized.

The other big thing this week is the ungodly amount of resources and energy the Democrats — as well as the mainstream media — put into trying to accuse Pete Hegseth of a war crime for using two drone strikes to sink a drug boat.

There were the usual suspects — Maddow, Nicole Wallace, the larpies on The View — ranting and raving.

But former CIA director Leon Panetta, of all people, showed up on cable news to make an accusation. “As far as I'm concerned, there is a war crime involved here,” Panetta said on MS Now, the televised mental institution formerly known as MSNBC. What is wrong with these people? What a reckless accusation to make.

For someone like Panetta, I think it’s the Trump Derangement Syndrome talking. TDS is a genuine mental disorder that could be studied and diagnosed — hopefully someday it will be.

Beyond being reckless, though, the Dems, like they did with Abrego-Garcia, are once again falling all over themselves to put the rights and prosperity of actual foreign criminals ahead of the citizens of this country.

These people care more about the people bringing drugs in than the people suffering from the consequences of drugs being here, or just average Americans trying to live their lives.

Fentanyl kills tens of thousands of Americans a year. And it zombifies countless others. Just look at this video I shot myself in San Francisco. It’s like a fentanyl zombie apocalypse. Btw, that was shot during the height of Covid, and some of those drug addicts were not wearing masks. I got yelled at for showing up at places without a mask during the pandemic.

But we have a president who recognizes this is just a win, and that a significant number of Americans just trying to live day-to-day simply do not care that some narco terrorists were killed while trying to bring drugs into America.

And speaking of the president, here he is making it clear he’s not going to back down. He's just not messing around anymore. And that is what a serious America First administration would do. That’s what we voted for. SIT-DOWN INTERVIEW OF THE WEEK

Legendary actor Chazz Palminteri on why Hollywood is in collapse

The Godfather, often considered one of the greatest American films ever made, couldn’t be made in the current Hollywood climate. Let that sink in for a second. That’s what Chazz Palminteri told me. Chazz is an Oscar-nominated actor who you’d recognize from A Bronx Tale, The Usual Suspects, Bullets Over Broadway, Mulholland Falls, and many more awesome movies. Our conversation touched on everything from political correctness in the entertainment industry to writing A Bronx Tale to living the American Dream to working with Hollywood heavyweights like Woody Allen, Harold Ramis and Billy Crystal. Great convo with a true big-screen legend.

Rubio ends November running away with Top Trump Peeps poll

This thing is turning into a horse race between JD Vance and Marco Rubio each week. This week, Rubio came out on top — by a mile, as you can see above. But remember — only a week earlier, Vance topped Rubio when I asked you all about who you’d rather see at the top of the Republican ticket in 2028. And while JD and Marco draw most of the attention, I thought this comment from reader david4999|499 was worth highlighting. Bessant isn’t the flashiest member of the Trump administration, but he’s quietly been doing a solid job.

Bessant is often understated, but he does pick his battles. Did you see him at a New York Times conference this week (same one Newsom was at), telling a New York Times reporter that the news outlet “is no longer the paper of record”? What a moment. Bessant then called out an absurd recent New York Times hit piece on Trump and contrasted it with how the Times covered Biden. Right to the New York Times reporter’s face. It was so wild, I unleashed a flurry of F-bombs on the show (sorry, mom). 😅

Democrats and their partners in the mainstream media put the full-court press on Hegseth again this week. Curious how all of that will affect his standing in the power rankings. Get your vote in ⬇️

Tweet of the week

• This week, I visited Mar-a-Lago to attend the Prager U gala, where I delivered a speech and then introduced my good friend Larry Elder. As I mentioned in my remarks, Larry was instrumental in my political evolution and played a pivotal role in my development as the host of a news show. It all goes back to when I interviewed him for a segment on my Ora TV show almost 10 years ago. I told the full story about what happened on air and off-air in my speech at the Gala — check out the full video here. Also, I realized when I arrived at Mar-a-Lago that the last time I saw Charlie Kirk in person was during an event at Mar-a-Lago after Trump won the election, so it was an emotional night all around.

• You may have heard that the Jan. 6 pipe bomber was caught and that it was a white guy who did it. Well, if you were watching CNN, that’s what you heard from Jake Tapper. Just when you think they can’t go lower, they find a way. You’ve got to see this one to believe it.

• Had a tremendous Rubin Report roundtable on Friday with Sean Spicer, who was White House press secretary during Trump’s first term, and Winston Marshall. We talked about narco terrorist boat strikes and the resurfaced 1989 clip of Joe Biden calling for aggressive action against drug runners. And we touched on the tsunami of Somali corruption in Minnesota. Great convo — watch it here.

• A new episode of Actual Friends came out on Friday. I’ve been amazed at how quickly that show has been amassing subscribers. Click here to subscribe and hit the notifications bell to be alerted when new episodes drop. Jillian, Sage, Dr. Drew — the whole gang was there. Catch up with it here.

• The second batch of Copal is officially sold out. But we are in the process of bottling the third batch now and that should be on sale in time to ensure delivery before Christmas. So get on the wait list now. Copal is the award-winning reposado and the official tequila of free speech.

The Rubin Report merch store has the official Moron Zamboni T-shirt — and plenty of other great Rubin Report gear. Peruse it all here.
