💬 Jimmy Kimmel’s Audience Shocked at How Sick He Is & an Iran Update

The Rubin Recap, Issue 53...

Back in the US of A.

Happy Friday everyone! It’s good to be back home, and judging by what happened this week, I didn’t miss much, just the usual crazy — let’s dive in.

The modern left claim to be the party of the working class — and then they go out of their way to mock actual working people. It’s definitely not Patriot Gold-medal worthy.

It happened again this week. Jimmy Kimmel took a shot at DHS Secretary Markwayne Mullin because he used to be a plumber. A plumber! Apparently, fixing pipes now disqualifies you from public office. See, it’s funny how the left treats AOC’s bartending past as proof she’s a “woman of the people,” but when a Republican worked a blue-collar job, suddenly it’s a disqualifier.

And then you’ve got Hasan Piker and his influencer flotilla that were down in Cuba. Not to help the locals there — but to stay in luxury hotels with full electricity while the rest of the country deals with blackouts. And then Hasan tells his audience Cubans are “happy” with the blackouts because of their “island mindset.” You can’t make this stuff up.

Even worse, they were reportedly throwing food to kids to get them to dance. Like it’s some kind of safari. Just absolutely sick, but not as “sick” as this offer from Patriot Gold.

If you think gold and silver have peaked, your retirement may be in more danger than you realize. JP Morgan has floated $8,500 gold if demand holds. BMO Bank sees a path to $8,650 gold and $220 silver by 2027! Expectations of the Fed's lower-rate plans and a weaker dollar environment can skyrocket assets like Gold, which is exactly the direction President Trump has pushed for. Now, about Iran. Remember how we were told this was going to be World War III? Endless war, nuclear disaster, all of it? Yeah… not quite. Instead, what we’re seeing looks a lot more like a limited, strategic operation. Iran’s military capabilities have been hit hard, their leadership is in disarray, and now — surprise — there are talks of a deal. Trump even said it outright: “They’re going to make a deal.”

And here’s the key part: no forever war. No boots-on-the-ground occupation. Just leverage turning into negotiation — including something involving oil. Funny how that works.

But there is a real question here: who’s actually in charge in Iran right now? And will the Iranian people finally get a shot at something better? That’s part two of this story.

Meanwhile, in Chicago, reality hits a lot closer to home. A Loyola University student, Sheridan Gorman, was murdered by an illegal immigrant. When Mayor Brandon Johnson was asked if he’d apologize to the family — he refused. Refused. Let that sink in.

And then, just moments later, the city rolls out more anti-ICE signaling. You almost don’t know whether to be angry or just stunned. It’s the kind of upside-down leadership that makes you think a little more about stability — what’s actually solid, what lasts, the kind of stuff people used to call gold-standard thinking.

This is what happens when ideology overrides common sense. So here’s the question that ties all of this together: Who do you trust?

The elites mocking plumbers? The influencers vacationing in communist countries? The politicians who won’t take responsibility? Or your own eyes?

Because at this point, the gap between what they say and what’s actually happening is impossible to ignore.

A month into Iran war, huge support among Rubin Recap readers

We’re hitting the one-month mark of Operation Epic Fury, which quite possibly could be all over very soon, and I’m happy to report that the overwhelming majority of you have been able to overlook the noise from the mainstream media and loony voices of Podcastistan, and keep a sane view of what Donald Trump is trying to accomplish in the Middle East. Last week, I asked where you stand on the Iran war — 83% of those who responded voted for strong support. And many of those who voted that way also weighed in with comments, so I’m highlighting three below that I think underscore some of Trump’s objective.

For this week’s poll, let’s get back to our Trump administration power rankings. After all, no one else out there is tracking the performance of Trump’s people like I’m doing here. Register your vote below ⬇️

📊 In your mind, who is the top performing member of the Trump team right now?

• It was a whirlwind trip to Budapest for CPAC Hungary. Yes, I had plenty of goulash while I was there — and yes, I was part of plenty of interesting conversations. I talked with Eduardo Bolsonaro, the son of former Brazil president Jair Bolsonaro, who has since been imprisoned. We talked about the parallel’s between his father and Donald Trump in terms of political persecution, and what the Biden administration did to shatter the democratic process in Brazil. Watch that interview here.

I was also part of a panel discussion with Eva Vlaardingerbroek that was moderated by David Oldroyd-Bolt of the Danube Institute. We touched on why Eva was recently banned from entering the U.K. and compared U.S. and E.U. immigration policies. See the full conversation here.

Plus, I shook hands with Javier Milei, president of Argentina. It’s been a very international week around here, which makes it a good time to point out that I have an international playlist that you might want to check out featuring the above interviews and many others with people from (and on matters about) things outside the U.S.

• While I was in Budapest, I made time to sit down for an interview with The Hungarian Conservative, a quarterly political magazine. We talked about a number topics, including many that I talk about on the show every day, but the interviewer had some questions about things I don’t always talk about, too, which made for an interesting conversation. Read the full Q&A here.

•🚨 New Rubin Report merch alert 🚨 We rolled out some spiffy new Rubin Report clothing and apparel this week. I gave you all a glimpse above in this email and on Tuesday’s episode of our “Make America Florida” collection. Head over to the Rubin Report merch store to peruse the wares and find the right size for you. This stuff is a perfect compliment to the Moron Zamboni T-shirt we released last year — which has since sold out.

• I’m always amazed (and amused) to see people who haven’t heard I’ve got my own tequila brand. Have I not been talking about it enough? It’s the official tequila of free speech and it is hands down the smoothest reposado you will ever taste. All you need to do is place an order here and tell us how many bottles to send. If you buy three, we’ll send them for free.

• You did it! You’ve reached the end of the newsletter. Before you go, make sure to check out our sponsor today, Patriot Gold Group, which is offering a free investment guide to readers of The Rubin Recap. And remember — a new edition of The Return to Normalcy hits your inbox on Sunday.
