💬 Kaitlin Collins' WILD evolution exposed, and I debated 20 far-left extremists

Donald Trump gave a little impromptu press conference in the Oval Office this week, as he often does, and during it he put a spotlight on Kaitlin Collins of CNN. You know her — the one who suffers from extreme TDS, always has that constipated-looking scowl on her face. Trump got right to that point in what was a pretty tense exchange.

“CNN's a very corrupt organization, with a corrupt reporter standing right there,” he marveled. “She never smiles. I never see a smile on her face. I see her standing there with hatred in her eyes. She has hatred because we have borders, because we have a strong military, because we cut our taxes, because we do things that everybody wanted.”

Listen, I’m all for asking the president tough questions — but is there a president who has been asked more tough questions than Trump? In the Oval Office. As he’s about to board Air Force One. On Air Force One. Immediately after assassination attempts — literally everywhere. He takes questions from all reporters.

Some people will say Trump’s comments about Kaitlin Collins are petty and a waste of time, but I think he’s getting at an interesting question: Why is she so miserable all the time? What’s with the perpetual scowl?

“You should be ashamed of yourself. You used to be a conservative,” Trump pointed out. “She was a conservative from Alabama. Can you believe it? But CNN, in particular, CNN does such false reporting.”

It’s been more than a decade now, but Trump is right. In 2015, she worked at the conservative news site The Daily Caller, and looking back at an old clip of her appearing on Fox News criticizing George Soros and Democrats, it’s breathtaking to see how dramatically she’s changed since moving to CNN. What an evolution this lady has had. Smiling then, expressing concerns about Soros and his connections to BLM. Now, TDS-induced scowl all the time.

Not only do Trump’s points about Collins illustrate that meme you probably often seen on social media about conservatives being happier than liberals, the entire exchange came in the context of a discussion about Trump’s anti-weaponization fund — and he happened to make a bunch of very convincing points about why it’s necessary. Naturally, Democrats and a significant amount of Republicans have opposed the fund. As you can see above, and if you caught Tuesday’s episode, we rolled out a special new viewer warning that will now precede all clips we play from the The View. In the irony of all ironies, we used the new warning to introduce a clip in which I actually agreed with what they were saying. Yeah — even agreed with Sunny Hostin.

And what were they talking about? They were talking about the Nazi-tattooed candidate who’s basically the presumptive nominee to face Susan Collins for one of Maine’s senate seats this November. It was one sane moment on The View, and I thought it might be my retirement episode because it might be the first time I’ve ever agreed with those ladies.

Last thing I want to mention before we get to the poll and my showdown with 20 far-left extremists is an MS NOW anchor who’s feeling uneasy about the coming 250th birthday of America. You can’t make this stuff up.

Ali Velshi became a citizen in 2015. And look at what this country has given him since. Sure MS Now is barely a cable news channel at this point, but he’s got a cush job hosting a show. Probably makes close to a million a year, if not more, for that. His speaking fee for live events is between $30,000 and $50,000 per event, according to his agency. Sounds like he’s doing pretty well, better than most immigrants in fact.

But on his show, he said, “I feel a deep unease about the celebrations to which I am invited to mark the 250th anniversary of our so-called democracy.” A deep unease? A so-called democracy? Folks, the man is lying. He’s playing a character on TV. If there was true “deep unease,” he’d move back to Canada where he was raised, or Kenya, where he was born. Amazing that he goes on TV and says this sort of thing. Watch it here. I would expect he might express some gratitude to America, but I guess that’s just me.

Rubio maintains top spot in power rankings

Marco Rubio is on 🔥. He’s come out on top in every one of these Top Trump Peeps polls I’ve run in this newsletter since last December. And he did it again last week with 45% of the vote, well ahead of Scott Bessant and JD Vance. As I mentioned on the show, he put on another masterclass on during the hearing with the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, responding to lunatic attacks from Democrats. One great moment was when he put Cory Booker in his place. Obviously, there have been a few changes to Trump’s team in year two of his second term, but those who are there are high performers. Many, many comments came in praising Rubio — not surprisingly — but I thought Doreen kinda nailed it when comes to team Trump.

For this week’s poll, you saw all the drama unfold at 60 Minutes this week. I’ll be addressing that more in-depth in Sunday’s newsletter. But in the meantime, I want you to predict what’s next for Scott Pelley now that he’s been fired from 60 Minutes. ⬇️
