3 stories to know about today

While Dave’s off the grid for the month of August, we — his trusty Rubin Report team — are going to check in with you a few times a week to let you know what news stories are pinging on our radar. And, before you know it, Dave will be back with a brand new season of The Rubin Report beginning on September 2.

Here we go:

  1. Greg Gutfeld’s gonna be on Fallon this week and he’s pretty stoked. Yep, the king of late-night contrarian vibes is headed to the land of lip-syncs and asexuals. He said Fallon “seems like a great guy” and gave him props for inviting someone who doesn’t exactly fit the Hollywood “woke” mold. Honestly, it seems like Fallon needs Gutfeld more than Gutfeld needs Fallon.

  1. Meanwhile, over in D.C., the PELOSI Act’s back in the convo — Josh Hawley wants to ban lawmakers and execs from trading stocks, and Karoline Leavitt blames Pelosi for this. I mean, how the fuck did Pelosi make $413 million?

  1. Speaking of score-settling, Trump’s still going after Hillary. On Newsmax over the weekend, he said, “I had her right under the sights… [Trump-Russia] was all a hoax … I think they should pay a price.” Trump added, “It could be the biggest scandal in the history of our country.”

That’s it for now — see ya later this week.
